QUAD at Sea Ship Observer Mission
Why in News ? The Coast Guards of QUAD nations—India, Japan, the United States, and Australia—launched the “QUAD at Sea Ship Observer Mission” on June 30, 2025, to boost maritime cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. Stemming from the Wilmington Declaration of September 2024, this initiative aims to promote a free, open, and rules-based Indo-Pacific amid regional security concerns, particularly China’s expanding maritime presence.
