  • Recently, the Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) received the inaugural set of six train coaches, constituting the Communication-based Train Control (CBTC) system for the upcoming yellow line. Key Features of the CBTC-enabled Driverless Metro Train:

A contract worth Rs 1,578 crore was secured in 2019 for the supply of 216 coaches, emphasizing the project’s economic significance and local manufacturing prowess.
