Why in the News?
The Uttar Pradesh government is preparing a big outreach programme for Vision-2047, aimed at gathering people’s suggestions and expert inputs to shape a roadmap for making UP a developed state by 2047.

About the Outreach Plan:
- Nearly 500 experts from various fields to be roped in.
- QR codes to be displayed at public places for collecting people’s feedback.
- A specialised web portal with AI-based applications will be launched.
- Official launch to be preceded by CM Yogi Adityanath’s interaction with experts.
Broad Goals of UP Vision-2047:
- Short-term (by 2030): Achieve a $1 trillion economy.
- Long-term (by 2047): Achieve a $6 trillion economy.
Prominent Suggestions so far:
- Launch UP’s own satellite with ISRO’s help.
- Develop AI cities.
- Transform the state into a hub of culture and world-class tourism.
- Convert all large urban bodies into solar cities.
- Achieve at least 13% forest cover.
- Include 15 state universities in the NIRF top 100 within 5 years.
Themes of Vision-2047:
- Arthshakti (Economic Power) – Focus on agriculture, allied sectors, dairy, fisheries, sugarcane, irrigation, IT and innovation.
- Srijan Shakti (Creation Power) – Emphasis on urban & rural development, transport, aviation, renewable energy.
- Jeevan Shakti (Life Power) – Focus on health, women empowerment, education, AYUSH, basic services.
Implementation Strategy:
- Experts (retired IAS, IPS, teachers, scientists, vice-chancellors, etc.) will be allotted districts to conduct grassroots outreach.
- Dedicated UP Vision-2047 web portal to collect feedback.
- Feedback to shape the state’s long-term development roadmap.
