It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

The Club began as an informal gathering place for the members of the Indian Constituent Assembly in February 1947, located at Curzon Road, New Delhi.
Formal Inauguration (1965):
It was formally inaugurated in February 1965 by Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, eminent philosopher and then President of India.
Present Location:
The Constitution Club of India is now situated next to Vithalbhai Patel House, Rafi Marg, New Delhi, in a modern, well-equipped facility.
According to its founding memorandum:
The objective was to foster social contact and provide club amenities for members of the Constituent Assembly.
Over the years, it has evolved into a prestigious forum for dialogue, networking, and engagement between past and present MPs.
A decision was taken to formally constitute it as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 for the advancement of its aims and objectives.
