Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and President Emmanuel Macron are set to jointly inaugurate Bharat Innovates 2026 on June 14, 2026, at the Palais des Expositions in Nice, France. This landmark event serves as a centerpiece of the India-France Year of Innovation, aimed at strengthening the global footprint of India’s Deep Tech and start-up ecosystem.

• Event Objective: The summit acts as a high-impact platform to showcase Indian deep tech innovators to global investors, fostering co-development, technology exchange, and cross-border investment.

• Participants: Organized by the Union Ministry of Education, the event features 120 Indian innovators, 15 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and over 500 global investors (including venture capital firms and corporate leaders).

• Focus Sectors: The initiative covers 13 strategic sectors, including advanced computing, semiconductors, space technology, biotechnology, energy, healthcare, and manufacturing.

• Diplomatic & Policy Presence: Prime Minister Modi will be accompanied by the Union Minister for External Affairs (Dr. S. Jaishankar), the Union Minister for Commerce and Industry (Shri Piyush Goyal), and the Principal Scientific Advisor (Shri Ajay Kumar Sood).

• Strategic Outcomes: The summit aims to establish frameworks for technology transfer, research and development (R&D) collaboration, market entry, and the international scaling of Indian innovations.

• India-France Synergy: The event builds upon the India-France Year of Innovation launched in February 2026, reinforcing the bilateral commitment to emerging technologies and entrepreneurship.
