Sustainable Practices: Promotion of natural farming, green manuring, and water conservation.
Quality Control: Stringent identification and action against counterfeit fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides.
Climate Resilience: Introducing alternative agricultural practices specifically tailored for low-rainfall conditions.
Crop Management: Guidance on scientific crop selection based on local agro-climatic conditions.
Unified Platform: Coordination between Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), ICAR institutions, agricultural universities, and State/Central agricultural departments.
Institutional Synergy: A detailed roadmap is prepared for the period of June 1 – June 30, 2026, with clearly defined roles for officers, scientists, and institutions at the village level.
Monitoring: Deployment of dashboard-based monitoring to ensure transparency and field-level accountability.
Public Participation: Active involvement of MPs, MLAs, local elected representatives, students, and farmer-support organizations.
Convergence of Schemes: Integrating the campaign with existing welfare schemes:
Addressing Soil Degradation: The campaign directly addresses the crisis of soil fatigue caused by the indiscriminate use of chemical inputs (NPK imbalance).
Climate Change Adaptation: Essential for addressing the impact of rising temperatures and erratic rainfall on food security.
Shift from Dependency to Sustainability: Encourages a shift toward natural farming, reducing input costs for farmers and improving long-term land productivity.
“Jan Andolan” Approach: Emphasizes that agricultural reform is not just a policy directive but requires a mass movement to succeed at the grassroots level.
