  • A three-day campaign has been launched by the UP government to fight against Filaria on November 25, 2019.
  • This initiative is taken in accordance with GoI’s target of eradicating Filaria completely by 2021.

  • Chhattisgarh Government declared that it will have its fourth Tiger Reserve “Guru Ghasidas National Park” in Kotiya district.
  • This was decided at the 11th Chhattisgarh Wildlife Board meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. Achanakmar Tiger Reserve in Bilaspur, Indravati Tiger Reserve in Bijapur district, Udanti-Sitanadi Tiger Reserve in Gariaband are the other 3 tiger reserves in the state.
